BALTIMORE, MD — A Nottingham man is celebrating after winning a $100,000 top prize on the Maryland Lottery’s $100,000 Ca$h scratch-off.

The Baltimore County resident, who typically plays Keno, decided to try his luck with scratch-offs during a recent visit to Golden Ring Liquors on Philadelphia Road in Baltimore. Scratching off his tickets at the store, he revealed a “win” symbol, securing the top prize.

Feeling “happy” and “blessed,” the winner shared the news with his wife, who was equally excited. A correctional officer for over a decade, the man mentioned plans to use part of his winnings to pursue college courses and perhaps fund a vacation for him and his wife.

Golden Ring Liquors will also receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The $100,000 Ca$h scratch-off game, which launched in September 2023, still has 51 of the 65 top prizes remaining.
