NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted in connection with an attempted robbery that left an 88-year-old woman injured in Brooklyn.
The incident occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., in front of 532 50th Street, within the confines of the 72nd Precinct. According to police, two suspects approached the woman and attempted to pull her purse from her, causing her to fall to the ground.
The victim suffered multiple facial fractures and damage to her teeth. She was transported to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was treated and listed in stable condition.
The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a black ski mask, a black “Raiders” t-shirt, black pants, and white/red sneakers. He was riding a razor scooter.
The second suspect is described as a female with a dark complexion, wearing a black and white head-covering, a blue sports bra, and grey sweatpants, also riding a razor scooter.
The NYPD has released photos of the suspects and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
