Two Fugitives Sought in Deadly Shooting at Capitol Heights Tire Shop

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a tire shop on Saturday. The victim’s family was recently notified, and his name is set to be released on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred on September 14, at approximately 6:30 a.m., when officers responded to a welfare check at a business in the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue, located in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. Police found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Preliminary findings indicate that the shooting took place inside the tire shop where the victim was employed. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan, according to authorities.

Detectives are working to establish a motive for the shooting and continue efforts to identify the suspects.
