Fugitive Child Rapist Brothers Arrested in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that two brothers, Conroy Salmon, 23, and Cameron Salmon, 22, were taken into custody following a search of a residence on Gearing Avenue.

Both men had multiple active warrants, including serious charges related to sexual assault and probation violations.

Conroy Salmon was wanted on charges from December 2023 out of West Mifflin, which include four counts of rape and other assault charges involving two juvenile victims. The alleged assaults occurred approximately five years ago.

He also had an active bench warrant for a probation violation in connection with a prior burglary case.

Cameron Salmon faced two bench warrants for probation violations related to a firearms charge and fleeing from law enforcement. Additionally, he had active warrants from McKeesport and Pitcairn for charges of fleeing police in a stolen U-Haul and making terroristic threats.

Detectives and deputies approached the Gearing Avenue residence earlier in the day and heard noises suggesting multiple people moving upstairs after the officers announced their presence. After waiting for about 25 minutes, detectives breached the door and found the brothers hiding in an upstairs room.

Both Conroy and Cameron Salmon were arrested without further incident.
