BARNEGAT, N.J. — Two men were injured Tuesday morning after their vehicle collided with a residence in the Seacrest Pines adult community, according to the Barnegat Police Department. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. when a vehicle driven by two employees of a local landscaping company unexpectedly accelerated through an intersection, striking a home on Black Bear Drive.
The occupants of the vehicle, aged 46 and 42, were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and sustained head and facial lacerations after impacting the windshield. Despite their injuries, both men were conscious and alert following the collision. Emergency responders transported the men via Medevac to trauma centers for further evaluation—one to Atlantic City Trauma Center and the other to Jersey Shore Trauma Center.
Fortunately, the home sustained only minor structural damage and remains suitable for occupancy. Barnegat Township Police coordinated with local emergency services to ensure the safety of all parties involved.
