PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department announced the charging of a man and woman from Washington D.C. in connection with a fatal shooting in Suitland that occurred in June.
The incident, which took place on June 27 around 6:40 p.m. in the 4700 block of Towne Park Road, resulted in the death of 16-year-old Juan Roach. Responding officers found Roach outside with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified Walter Plummer, 21, of Suitland, and Akiya Bagley, 21, as suspects in the shooting, which they believe occurred during a robbery. Plummer has been charged with first and second-degree murder among other related charges, while Bagley faces charges of assault, accessory after the fact, and additional charges.
Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the Department of Corrections. Police continue their efforts to arrest other suspects involved in the incident.
