Toms River, NJ – The Ocean County Library’s Jackson Branch has been temporarily closed due to a failure in its HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system. The library anticipates reopening within the next two weeks. Updates on the branch’s status will be available on the library’s website and social media platforms.
Items awaiting pickup at the Jackson Branch will be transferred to the OCL Manchester Branch, located at 21 Colonial Drive, as of July 9. Patrons may also request to pick up their items at any other branch. All items on hold for customers will have their hold period extended through Monday, July 22. Jackson Branch patrons can return borrowed items to on-site drop boxes or to any other OCL branch. For transferring holds to an alternate location or general inquiries, patrons may call the library’s main number at (732) 349-6200.
Patrons are encouraged to visit other Ocean County Library locations to check out books and materials or attend programs. An Ocean County Library card is valid at all OCL locations. Additionally, patrons can access the library’s extensive online resources, including databases, eBooks, eMagazines, video and audio streams, and digital classes, available continuously at theoceancountylibrary.org.
