DOVER, DE — Delaware State Police have apprehended 42-year-old Thomas Pusey of Frankford, Delaware, following a series of crimes in Kent and Sussex Counties last Friday. Pusey faces charges related to vehicle theft and robbery, stemming from incidents that involved a stolen vehicle from a Dover dealership and a robbery at a Walgreens pharmacy.

The sequence of events began on July 5, 2024, around 11:41 a.m., when Troopers from Troop 3 were dispatched to Hertrich Chevrolet of Dover at 1450 South Dupont Highway. Reports indicated that a white male suspect, later identified as Pusey, arrived at the dealership in a Mini Cooper, which was later discovered to have been stolen from a neighbor in Frankford. Pusey requested to test drive a gray 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, locked himself inside the vehicle, and fled the scene without providing identification.

Subsequent investigations led Troopers to Pusey’s residence on Powell Farm Road, where the stolen Silverado was located in the driveway. Pusey was arrested without incident at his home.

Further investigations connected Pusey to another crime occurring the same day at approximately 1:05 p.m. at a Walgreens located at 34960 Atlantic Avenue in Ocean View. Unable to fill his prescription, Pusey went behind the pharmacy counter, grabbed medications, and engaged in a physical altercation with two employees attempting to stop him. He eventually dropped the medications and fled the scene in the stolen Silverado.

Pusey is currently facing multiple charges including robbery and possession of stolen vehicles, as Delaware State Police continue their investigations into these incidents.
