Fugitive Wanted For Raping Young Woman in While She Slept in the Bronx Arrested

NEW YORK, NY — As part of an ongoing investigation, the New York City Police Department arrested Claudio Miranda on Monday at 9:50 a.m. within the confines of the 41 Precinct. Miranda, a 30-year-old male residing at 765 East 230 Street in the Bronx, was charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Sex Act in the 1st Degree, and Bribing a Witness.

In a related matter, the NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to a burglary that occurred within the 47 Precinct. The incident took place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the vicinity of East 230th Street and White Plains Road. An individual unlawfully entered the residence of a 20-year-old female victim and subsequently sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping.
