2024 NFL Draft Pick Khyree Jackson Among Three Killed in Delaware Crash

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – A devastating car accident occurred early this morning in Prince George’s County, resulting in the deaths of three young men, all notable college football players and one young NFL prospect.

Maryland State Police are currently investigating the fatal incident which involved multiple vehicles on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue near Presidential Parkway.

The victims have been identified as Isaiah Hazel, 23, Khyree Jackson, 24, and Anthony Lytton, Jr., 24, all of whom were traveling in a maroon Dodge Charger. Hazel and Jackson were declared deceased at the scene, while Lytton succumbed to his injuries at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.

Khyree Jackson, a 2024 fourth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings, was a passenger in the Charger. The other occupants, Hazel and Lytton, both had notable college football careers at Maryland, Charlotte, Florida State, and Penn State, respectively.

The collision happened shortly after 3:14 a.m., involving a silver Infiniti Q50, a silver Chevrolet Impala, and the Dodge Charger. According to preliminary reports, the Infiniti, driven by Cori Clingman, 23, of Upper Marlboro, was attempting a lane change at high speed when it collided with the Charger, causing it to veer off the road and strike multiple tree stumps.

No injuries were reported among the passengers in Clingman’s vehicle or the sole occupant of the Chevrolet Impala, who refused medical treatment at the scene. The loss has resonated deeply within the community, especially affecting those who knew the young men and their promising futures.
