Manassas Police Seek Suspect in July 4 Firearm Incident

MANASSAS, VA — Authorities are searching for Timothy Duvall Fields, 25, following a firearm incident that occurred on July 4 at approximately 3:16 a.m. in the 9100 block of Estates Pond Court.

Officers responded to a shots fired call and discovered that a 23-year-old woman and Fields, an acquaintance, had been involved in a verbal altercation outside the residence. During the confrontation, Fields allegedly brandished a firearm and fired multiple rounds into the air. A resident of the home, upon hearing the gunfire, also fired multiple rounds into the air. Fields then fired several more rounds before fleeing the scene in a blue hatchback Honda Civic. An unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire, but no injuries or additional property damage were reported.

After consultation with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, the resident who fired shots will not face criminal charges. However, arrest warrants have been issued for Fields, who remains at large.

Fields is described as a black male, approximately 5’9″, 185 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. He resides in the 8700 block of Richmond Avenue in Manassas.

He is wanted for reckless handling of a firearm, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Manassas Police Department.
