- Fugitive Wanted For Murder Arrested in Baltimore
BALTIMORE —A significant development has emerged in a homicide case from June, as 36-year-old Fred Woods was arrested by the Warrant Apprehension Task Force. The arrest took place on Friday, June 28, at around 10 a.m., linking Woods to the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Marvin Moore.
On June 18 police officers responded to the 1100 block of Stoddard Court for a late-night call at approximately 12:40 a.m., Western District patrol officers found Moore suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medics quickly transported Moore to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Following an investigation, detectives identified Woods as the suspect, leading to his subsequent arrest.
Woods has been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges of first-degree murder, among other allegations. The case continues to unfold as legal proceedings are expected to follow.
- Juvenile Arrested for School Vandalism in Roxbury
ROXBURY, MA—A 16-year-old male has been arrested by Boston Police for allegedly vandalizing a school in Roxbury. The incident occurred at approximately 12:56 PM on Thursday, in the area of 35 Brookford Street.
Responding to a report of vandalism in progress, officers from the Anti-Crime Unit of District B-2 were dispatched to the scene. Boston Police Operations had provided a description of two males seen spray painting the school's walls.
Upon their arrival, police found two youths inside the fenced play area of the school, with one matching the description given. Officers discovered fresh graffiti on a wall and a staircase, and a spray paint can was found in the backpack of the arrested juvenile.
The 16-year-old was charged with several counts related to property damage and trespass. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court. The second individual involved was summonsed for trespassing.
