TOMS RIVER, NJ – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Robert Lasher, 71, of Brick Township, was charged with Possession of Child Imagery on Tuesday.
The investigation was initiated by a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which received cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the uploading of child pornography. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit identified an IP address in Brick Township as the source of the uploads, leading to Lasher’s identification.
On Tuesday, Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the Brick Township Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at Lasher’s residence. A forensic examination of his electronic devices revealed several items of child pornography.
Lasher was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains pending a detention hearing.

NEW YORK CITY — On Saturday, June 29, at approximately 5:40 a.m., four unknown individuals approached a 50-year-old male walking on Clay Avenue and East 174 Street. One of the individuals tripped the victim, causing him to fall and bruise his arm.
Another individual displayed a firearm and demanded that the victim empty his pockets. The four assailants then fled northbound on Clay Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.
The suspects are described as follows:

- The second individual is a male with a light complexion.
- The third individual is a male with a light complexion.
- The fourth individual is described as a male.
Police are investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects.
- 25-Year-Old Woman Victim of Subway Groper
NEW YORK CITY — On Wednesday, June 26, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a 25-year-old female was standing on the southbound A/C/E train platform when an unknown male approached her from behind and touched her buttocks. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 180 pounds, 6 feet tall, and of slim build. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, black sneakers, and a black hat.
No injuries were reported. Police are investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspect.

NEW YORK CITY— On Tuesday, June 25, at approximately 7:45 p.m., three unknown individuals approached a 48-year-old male in front of 301 East Mount Eden Avenue. A verbal dispute escalated, resulting in the individuals striking the victim multiple times, causing minor injuries.
The assailants then forcibly took the victim to an ATM and withdrew money. Using the victim's personal bank information, they later removed approximately $1,400 from another ATM.
Police are investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects.
