Cincinnati, OH – A devastating shooting in the Corryville neighborhood early Monday resulted in three fatalities and two injuries, according to reports from the Cincinnati Police Department and the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

The incident unfolded at around 2:50 a.m. near the intersection of Highland and East University avenues. Cincinnati Police Capt. Mark Burns reported that officers, while patrolling the area, heard gunshots and discovered four male victims, one of whom was already deceased. Three victims were initially transported to a nearby hospital, where two subsequently died. A fifth victim later arrived at the hospital.

In a tense moment following the shooting, an officer observed an individual running into a residence with a firearm. This person later surrendered voluntarily and is currently in police custody, although their involvement in the shooting remains unclear.

The scene, marked by a high number of evidence placards and an abandoned wheelchair, painted a grim picture of the night’s events. The police presence remained strong in the area as detectives continued to investigate.

Local resident Emmanuel Roy, who lives nearby, expressed his shock upon waking to find the area swarmed by law enforcement. The community is urged to come forward with any information by contacting Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
