Homestead, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department is calling for public assistance in the unsolved homicide case of 16-year-old Dominic Sanner. Dominic was fatally shot on May 5, 2023, around 11:30 PM, at 134 East 17th Avenue in Homestead.
Upon their arrival, Homestead Police discovered Dominic between two homes with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit took over the investigation, suggesting that Dominic was in a yard at a friend’s house when he was shot.

- Stamford Firefighters Quickly Douse Fire at Five Story Multi-Family Home
Stamford, CT — On July 1, at approximately 10:47 p.m., the Stamford Fire Department responded to a report of smoke and visible flames on a porch at Mill River House, located at 35 West Broad Street, a five-story multi-family dwelling with a unique “C” shaped layout.
Upon arrival, the first unit observed no visible smoke or flames from the street. Further investigation revealed that a heater on the porch of apartment 312 had ignited, causing damage to the exterior wall and burning into an adjacent closet. The fire, located on a porch facing an interior courtyard, initially obscured the smoke from view.
Electrical power to the affected apartment was promptly shut off at the panel. The fire was extinguished without the use of water, preventing additional property damage. The Stamford Police Department assisted with traffic control in the heavily trafficked area.
The incident was brought under control at 11:29 p.m. No injuries were reported. The Stamford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
- Homicide Investigation Underway After Body Found in Baltimore Alley
Baltimore, MD — On July 3, at approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Argyle Avenue after an unidentified body was discovered in an alley behind a business. Medics pronounced the male victim deceased at approximately 6:13 a.m.

- Late Night Fire Displaces Family in Gloucester Township
Gloucester Township, NJ — On Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 1:06 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to a structure fire at 32 N. Black Horse Pike in Blackwood. Officers arrived to find heavy smoke emanating from a building housing several commercial businesses on the ground floor and an occupied residential apartment upstairs. All occupants were quickly evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
Fire departments from Gloucester Township Squad 88 Blackwood Fire Company, Chews Landing Fire Department, Lambs Terrace Fire Company, Blenheim Fire Company, Gloucester Township Fire District 6, and Pine Hill Fire Department arrived on the scene. They successfully contained the fire to a first-floor business. Inspira BLS and Virtua ALS provided additional assistance.
The upstairs apartment was home to a family of five, who were displaced by the fire and will be staying with relatives. A section of the Black Horse Pike was closed for several hours during the incident.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious but remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal from Blackwood Fire Department Station 84.
Residents are reminded to check their fire suppression systems, including alerts and audible alarm systems, to ensure they are operational. Working smoke alarms are crucial for early warning and quick evacuation in the event of a fire.
