WASHINGTON, D.C. – The unexpected death of Dionzae Foote on Saturday afternoon has left his family seeking community support. In the wake of the tragedy that occurred on June 29, 2024, the Foote family has faced challenges in securing the necessary funds for Dionzae’s burial.

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast D.C. on Saturday.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting report in the 2700 block of Shipley Terrace. Upon arrival, they found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Dionzae Foote of Oxon Hill, MD.
