Stafford County Sheriff's Daily Incident Report Highlights Assault Cases

Stafford County, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has released its daily incident report for July 1, 2024, detailing several assault cases:

Assault at 7-Eleven on Solomon Drive – On June 28 at approximately 4:37 PM, Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to an assault at the 7-Eleven located at 25 Solomon Drive. The female victim reported that her husband’s ex-girlfriend, who had been stalking her since March, escalated her harassment by striking her with a vehicle. The victim received treatment for her injuries, and warrants were issued for stalking, hit and run, and attempted felonious assault.

Coffee Assault on Catherine Lane – On June 29 at around 9:02 AM, Sergeant A.T. Leckemby was called to an assault on Catherine Lane. The victim stated that a known individual, previously trespassed from the property, threw coffee on her during an unwanted encounter. The suspect was apprehended and charged with trespassing and assault and battery, then released on personal recognizance.

Machete Incident on Warrenton Road – Later that same day, at 12:23 PM, Deputy A. De Hoyos responded to a weapons offense in the 300 block of Warrenton Road. Witnesses reported two males arguing, which escalated when one man brandished a machete. The victim told officers the suspect became aggressive over a dispute about a panhandling spot, assaulted him, and threatened him with the machete. The suspect was charged with brandishing a machete and assault and battery and was released on personal recognizance.

    These incidents are part of ongoing investigations, and the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in these cases.
