Baltimore Police Make Arrest for Handgun and Controlled Substance Possession

BALTIMORE, MD — A 24-year-old male was arrested by members of the Baltimore Police Department’s Northeast District Action Team for possession of a handgun and controlled dangerous substances (CDS). The arrest occurred during a proactive enforcement operation on June 28, 2024, at approximately 1:59 p.m. in the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue.

During the operation, detectives discovered the suspect in possession of a handgun along with ammunition and CDS. Following the recovery of these items, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

He was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges related to the possession of the handgun and controlled substances. The Baltimore Police Department continues to prioritize proactive enforcement initiatives aimed at reducing crime and enhancing community safety across the city.
