Salisbury Home Suffers Significant Damage in Accidental Fire

SALISBURY, MD – A structure fire severely damaged a single-family home at 4619 Coulbourne Mill Road on June 26, leading to substantial financial losses and the displacement of the homeowner, Pamela Timberman. The Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department responded to the incident, which was controlled within 45 minutes after their arrival at approximately 2:36 PM.

The property, a one-story wood-frame residence, sustained an estimated $200,000 in damage to the structure itself and an additional $75,000 loss to its contents. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported. The fire originated on the side deck of the residence, and the preliminary investigation indicates that the cause was accidental, likely due to improperly discarded smoking materials.

The response involved 27 firefighters and was classified as a single-alarm fire.
