Middletown, PA — Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented a commemorative check to Donna Osborne, the winner of a $5 million Scratch-Off ticket, at Lottery Headquarters on Thursday.

Osborne, 75, purchased the winning MONOPOLY™ Own It All ticket at Speedway, located at 3180 Oregon Pike in Leola, Lancaster County. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The presentation took place at the Lottery Headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.

Osborne, who recently completed radiation treatment for breast cancer, described the win as bittersweet and said it came just in time for her birthday. She discovered her fortune after a flight delay led her to buy the ticket.

“I was at the airport with my daughter when our flight got delayed multiple times. I decided to go home, and if I hadn’t left the airport, I would have never bought that ticket!” Osborne recalled. She scratched the ticket in the Speedway parking lot and was shocked to see the $5 million prize.

Osborne, a grandmother and great-grandmother who provides transportation for the Amish, doesn’t plan to retire. “I have to keep moving,” she said, expressing plans to invest some of the prize money and visit Alaska.

“We wish Donna the best of birthdays as we celebrate her for winning this big Scratch-Off prize,” said Secretary of Revenue Pat Browne. “Thanks to players like her, the PA Lottery can create millionaires and help seniors live a good life.”

The MONOPOLY Own It All Scratch-Off game went on sale on December 26, 2023, and offers top prizes of $5 million.
