Three Drug Dealers Busted in Atlantic City Raid

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department announced the arrest of three individuals involved in separate narcotic-related incidents following thorough investigations by the Special Investigations Section. The arrests occurred on June 25, 2024, and involved the recovery of significant quantities of illegal substances and related paraphernalia.

Detectives first apprehended Ricky Bailey, aged 60, during a drug transaction on the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue. Bailey faces multiple charges including possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), intent to distribute, money laundering, and possession of suboxone.

Floyd Spencer and Christian Mateo were arrested in the first block of South Florida Avenue. Mateo, who attempted to flee from detectives, was found with a knife and faces additional charges including unlawful possession of a weapon and obstruction of justice, alongside drug possession and distribution charges. Spencer’s charges mirror Mateo’s drug-related offenses but do not include weapon or obstruction charges.

The operation led to the seizure of 34 vials of cocaine, 193 wax folds, various prescription pills, and nearly $3,000 in drug proceeds. A vehicle was also impounded during the arrests. The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office provided support during these operations.

All arrested individuals are residents of Atlantic City and are currently facing various degrees of charges related to drug distribution, particularly within proximity to school zones, which carries enhanced penalties.
