FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department has responded to public concerns regarding a reported use of force incident during the Frederick Pride celebration. Amidst allegations involving the use of a taser, the department has confirmed that no taser was employed by officers at the event.
Currently, an internal review is underway as part of the department’s standard procedure to thoroughly investigate the incident. The police have reassured the public that all officers are equipped with body-worn cameras, and they commit to releasing any relevant footage following the conclusion of the internal review, in line with department policy.
