BOWIE, MD — Homicide Unit detectives are currently investigating the tragic death of 17-year-old Re’Sheed Reid, who was fatally shot Monday evening in the unincorporated area of Bowie. The incident, which has shocked the local community, occurred on June 24, 2024, around 6:35 PM on the 900 block of Lake Overlook Drive.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Reid in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are diligently working to determine a motive and to identify any suspects involved in this heinous crime.
The police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
