Cumberland Man Arrested for DUI and Related Charges

CUMBERLAND, MD—Just James, a 25-year-old resident of Cumberland, was arrested on Monday, June 24, following reports of reckless driving and a subsequent disturbance. The Cumberland City Police Department acted on an online tip and video evidence showing a black Chevrolet Suburban being driven erratically along Queen City Drive.

The incident escalated when police were called to a disturbance at a residence on Linden St. Although the parties involved had left the scene, the vehicle described in the tip was later found by officers. James was identified as the driver and was linked to the earlier reported activities.

Following the investigation, James faced multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Reckless Driving, Hit & Run, and other traffic-related offenses. After an initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner, James was released on his own recognizance. The case continues to develop as local authorities proceed with the legal process.
