Three Homes Damaged in Cecil County House Fire

CECIL CO., MD – A significant house fire occurred on June 21 at 117 West Huron Court in Cecil County, causing substantial damage to the property and its neighbors.

Owned by Albert Rolfe, the single-family dwelling caught fire around 12:48 p.m., with initial reports indicating the blaze started on the exterior deck. The fire prompted a response from the North East Volunteer Fire Company, which dispatched 30 firefighters to the scene.

Despite the efforts, it took approximately 40 minutes to control the fire, which resulted in an estimated $250,000 in damages. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths were reported.

The status of smoke alarms in the home remains undetermined, and there were no fire alarm or sprinkler systems installed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with a passerby having alerted Maryland State Police upon noticing the flames. The incident also affected two neighboring houses, adding to the severity of the situation.
