WOODBRIDGE, VA – A search is underway for Alejandra Yvette Garcia, 22, who is accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice. The incident occurred on June 21 at approximately 7:42 PM near the intersection of Saxophone Way and Bel Air Road.
Woodbridge police officers, who were aware of Garcia’s active arrest warrants, spotted her and attempted to detain her. Garcia resisted arrest and fled the scene on foot, leading to a brief chase. Despite being temporarily detained, she continued to resist and ultimately struck an officer, causing minor injuries before escaping.
Garcia is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5’3” tall, weighing around 160 lbs., with medium-length black hair and brown eyes. She has no fixed address, complicating efforts to locate her. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts to come forward to aid in her apprehension and ensure the safety of the community.
