Rite-Aid Announces Closure of Multiple Stores Across Ohio

ASHTABULA, OH – Rite-Aid Corporation has officially announced the closure of fifteen stores throughout Ohio, impacting several communities. The decision forms part of the company’s strategic realignment to optimize its operational efficiency across the region.

The stores affected by this decision include locations in Ashtabula, Defiance, Youngstown, Coshocton, Springfield, Cleveland, Oregon, Toledo, Warren, Alliance, Massillon, Bowling Green, Wheelersburg, St Marys, and Tiffin. Notably, these closures will affect the Rite-Aid at 2148 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula and the store at 1816 East Second Street in Defiance, among others.

Additional locations set to close are at 3527 Canfield Road, Youngstown; 218 Chestnut Street, Coshocton; and 1805 South Limestone Street, Springfield. Cleveland’s Rite-Aid on 3402 Clark Avenue and the store at 3362 Navarre Avenue in Oregon are also included in the closure list.

The 2434 West Laskey Road location in Toledo, along with the 1560 Parkman Road NW in Warren, will see operations cease. In Alliance, the 1895 West State Street store will shut down, as will the Massillon store at 242 Lincoln Way West.

The remaining stores on the closure list include 722-740 South Main Street in Bowling Green, 8130 Ohio River Road in Wheelersburg, and the 1502 Executive Drive location in St Marys. The Tiffin store at 530 West Market Street rounds out the list of Rite-Aid closures across the state.
