NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out for public assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a sexual abuse incident at the 96th Street subway station. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday at approximately 7:45 PM, involved a 16-year-old female victim.
While standing on the northbound “1” train island platform, the victim was approached by an unknown male who assaulted her by grabbing her under her clothing. The suspect then quickly fled the scene, disappearing from the station.
The victim fortunately did not sustain any physical injuries. The NYPD has released media depicting the individual believed to be responsible and is urging anyone with information about this person or the incident to come forward.
