WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Police Department reported a series of incidents from June 9 to June 15, including arrests and the discovery of lost property. Details of these events underscore the ongoing law enforcement activities in the town.

On Saturday, June 9, at 12:55 PM, Patricia Zanfini, 65, of Springfield was arrested on the 100 block of Elm St. for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Following the incident, Zanfini was released and is scheduled to appear in Westfield Municipal Court on Monday, June 18, at 9:00 AM.

The following day, on Sunday, June 10, at 2:40 PM, police recovered a bag containing three bowling balls, two pairs of shoes, and a wrist guard left on the roadway in the 800 block of W. South Ave. The found items were secured at Westfield Police Department headquarters.

On Tuesday, June 11, at 3:00 PM, an anonymous person handed over a necklace with an embedded stone to the police after finding it on the 200 block of E. Broad St. This item was also secured at police headquarters.

In another incident on Thursday, June 13, at 12:30 PM, a resident reported a theft from their unlocked vehicle in Tamaques Park. A broken window was observed, and a purse valued at approximately $250 was stolen.

Finally, early Friday morning, June 14, at 2:14 AM, Crystal Beverly, 35, from Elizabeth, was arrested following a crash at the intersection of W. South Ave. and Cumberland St. Beverly, charged with DWI, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and obstructing the administration of law, was later released to a sober adult.
