New York City Police Officers Attacked in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in an assault on police officers. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday, June 17, 2024, around 4:20 AM, near 38-70 12th Street within the 114th Precinct.

According to reports, two on-duty officers encountered a disorderly group. During the interaction, unidentified individuals from the group assaulted the officers and hurled various objects at them. This attack resulted in injuries to the officers’ heads and backs. Following the assault, the perpetrators fled the scene to an unknown location.

The injured officers were promptly transported to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Panel Center, where they are currently in stable condition.
