NEW YORK, NY – On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at approximately 3:30 PM, a 13-year-old boy and girl were approached by an unidentified male in Kissena Park, near Colden Street and Kalmia Avenue. The suspect displayed a knife and forced the young victims into a wooded area. There, he took their cellphones and sexually assaulted the female victim before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. The victims were transported by EMS to an area hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5′ 5″ tall, with curly hair. He was last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack. He is also noted to have dental braces and a distinctive tattoo of a boar or bull with red eyes on his chest.
