HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Two teenagers were arrested early Tuesday morning following a burglary at the Hamilton Mall. The Township of Hamilton Police responded to a burglary alarm around 2:45 AM and discovered a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female from Mays Landing inside the mall.
Both individuals were found wearing ski masks and carrying large bags filled with stolen items from various stores. They attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended by the responding officers.
The stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the affected stores.
The juveniles were charged with resisting arrest, multiple counts of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. Following their arrest, they were released to their guardians and are pending court appearances.
