NEWARK, NJ—Jessie Mayfield, a 61-year-old resident of Paterson, New Jersey, has been sentenced to 125 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to drug trafficking and firearm possession. The charges against him included being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The court documents reveal that on August 24, 2021, Mayfield was found with a significant quantity of fentanyl packaged for sale. He also possessed a Ruger .22 caliber pistol and 95 .22 caliber long rifle cartridges at the time of his arrest.
