BOSTON, MA — The Boston Police Department’s District A-1 Community Service Office made a memorable appearance at the Charlestown Parade Week’s ‘Touch a Truck’ event this weekend, unveiling an exciting new addition to their fleet: a mini cruiser.
Despite the rainy conditions, the mini cruiser, a kid-sized replica of the standard police vehicles complete with lights and siren, became the star attraction of the event. Young attendees had the opportunity to experience life on the beat as junior police operators, navigating the mini cruiser around the venue, much to the delight of both children and parents alike.
The Boston Police Department extends its gratitude to the officers and civilians of District A-1, as well as the Fleet Management and Radio Shop teams, whose collaborative efforts brought the mini cruiser concept to life. This innovative approach not only provided entertainment but also fostered a positive interaction between the police and community members, strengthening community ties.
