CHERRY HILL, NJ – The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced upcoming changes to traffic patterns on Route 70 between I-295 and Kings Highway. These changes, starting on Friday, June 21, are necessary for the ongoing Route 70 project and will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes.
Starting on the evening of Friday, June 21, eastbound lanes of Route 70 will be shifted back to their regular traffic lanes. This shift, which is part of the construction process, will start on the night of June 21 and continue until the early morning of June 23.
During the week of June 24, barriers in the median area will be relocated to prepare for further lane shifts, specifically in the westbound direction. Throughout this week, all traffic will revert to the original lanes.
The changes will continue on the evening of June 28, with westbound lanes between Kings Highway and I-295 being shifted to the center island area. This adjustment, lasting through June 30, is designed to facilitate the next phase of the road construction project.
