MARION, NC – Christina Boeke of Marion has claimed a $1 million prize from a $50 scratch-off ticket, turning a regular day into a milestone. Boeke purchased her winning $10 Million Spectacular ticket at the Riverside Convenience Store located on U.S. 70 West in Marion.

Upon claiming her prize on Friday, Boeke faced a critical decision: accept a 20-year annuity of $50,000 per year or opt for a lump sum payment. She chose the lump sum of $600,000. After taxes, Boeke received $429,014.

The $10 Million Spectacular scratch-off game launched in December and boasts not only five top prizes of $10 million but also 20 prizes of $1 million and 20 prizes of $100,000.
