NEWARK, NJ — Newark’s Public Safety Director, Fritz G. Fragé, is calling for public assistance to identify a man linked to a robbery incident on the evening of Saturday, June 8.
The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. in the 500 block of Orange Street when a man entered a local business, intimidated the owners by insinuating he had a firearm, and demanded money. He successfully fled with $250 in cash and roughly $400 worth of merchandise.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall man with a medium build and a bald head. During the incident, he was dressed in a gray Hollister T-shirt, blue jean shorts, red and black Jordans, and was carrying a dark gray backpack. The Newark Police Department urges anyone with information about this individual to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
