Atlantic City's Homegrown Talent to Shine at North to Shore Festival’s Showcase Stage and Artist Village

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The vibrant and diverse arts scene of Atlantic City will take center stage at the Prudential presents North to Shore Festival this June. Scheduled for June 22 and June 23, the Showcase Stage and Artist Village will host a range of free performances from local singer-songwriters, punk bands, jazz musicians, comedians, and more. The event, now in its second season, is part of a three-week, three-city festival of arts and ideas produced by NJPAC.

From 11 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday at the Orange Loop Festival Grounds, attendees can enjoy continuous performances alongside hands-on activities for children, food trucks, and local artisan demos. This new venue aims to highlight the rich cultural tapestry of Atlantic City and provide festival-goers with a comprehensive experience of the city’s artistic offerings.

John Schreiber, President and CEO of NJPAC, emphasized the Showcase Stage’s role in spotlighting local talent and enhancing visitor experiences by consolidating Atlantic City’s cultural assets in one accessible location. The festival grounds, located within walking distance of the Atlantic City boardwalk, will feature an array of local artisans, including photographers, wood carvers, and painters, showcasing their crafts.

Among the notable acts performing are Michelle Tomko, an Atlantic City actress and comedian; Open4Business, the inspirational funk-soul duo; The Cason Express Show Band, known for their high-energy R&B and jazz performances; and Angela Burton, a celebrated local soul and R&B singer. These artists represent just a fraction of the diverse lineup curated to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes and cultural interests.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be tented to ensure that the performances and activities can continue uninterrupted. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Prudential presents North to Shore Festival, which has granted $355,600 this season to support local artists and organizations in Atlantic City, Asbury Park, and Newark.

The Showcase Stage and Artist Village promise to be a highlight of this year’s festival, offering a platform for local artists to connect with the community and visitors alike. For more information and a full schedule of performances, visit the festival’s official website.
