U-Haul Chase Ends in Handgun Discovery, Three Arrests in Baltimore
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA - NOVEMBER 18, 2020: A U-Haul rented moving truck parked in the ByWard Market area of Ottawa.

Baltimore, Maryland – Early on Tuesday morning, Baltimore police officers arrested three individuals after a U-Haul box truck driver was observed committing a traffic violation in the 400 block of South Broadway.

At approximately 3:19 a.m., officers on patrol noticed the U-Haul driver committing a traffic infraction. When they attempted to initiate a car stop, the driver evaded them, continuing to drive erratically and ignoring further traffic laws. Assistance was requested, leading to the response of County Air and Central District Action Team members.

The suspects fled the U-Haul on foot after stopping near the Central Booking Intake Facility but were quickly apprehended. During the arrest, officers discovered a 380-caliber handgun, which was not associated with either suspect.

The apprehended individuals, aged 22, 19, and 16, were escorted to the Central Booking Intake Facility and subsequently charged.
