Steppingstone Farm Museum Destroyed in Fire

The Steppingstone Farm Museum, a cherished local landmark, recently experienced a devastating incident that has deeply affected the community and its supporters. In response to the tragedy, the museum has set up a donation page to aid in recovery efforts.

“As many of you have heard we suffered a great loss today. We appreciate everyone’s support,” farm workers posted on Facebook today. “We kindly ask the no one tries to access the site (whether on foot, bike, horse or vehicle) until further notice. The gates will remain locked until it is safe to reopen. Please note that we will also be with out phone access for the near future.”

Community members, including many who have personal ties to the museum, have expressed their shock and sympathy through social media.

Concerns about whether any animals were harmed were voiced, alongside hopes for a swift recovery for the facility, but luckily there were no injures.

Investigators from the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal are currently on the scene to determine the cause of the incident.

To support the museum during this challenging time, donations can be made through their official website at Steppingstone Museum Donation Page. The museum and its staff, including long-time volunteers, are grateful for any support provided by the community and its well-wishers.
