Philadelphia Church Burglarized, Police Seek Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is seeking assistance to identify a suspect involved in a commercial burglary. The incident occurred at St. Helena’s Parish Church located at 6161 N 5th St on Monday at 2:30 AM.

Security footage captured an unknown black male suspect breaking into the church. He approached from the west side, near 4th St, and forcibly entered through the back door. The suspect later disabled the security cameras and remained inside for an undetermined period, during which several items were reported stolen.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s or 40s, with a medium build and a beard. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, a blue coat, and a dark-colored knit hat. Anyone with information about this burglary or the suspect is urged to contact the authorities.
