PHILADELPHIA, PA — A series of violent incidents and a fatal traffic collision occurred across Philadelphia, with multiple shootings and a hit-and-run crash reported in different districts. Authorities are actively investigating these incidents, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.

In the 25th District, a double shooting occurred on the highway at 7xx W Bristol St around 3:01 AM. A 20-year-old male was critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds, and a 31-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the left hip. Both were transported to Temple Hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made, and the motive is currently unknown.

Another shooting unfolded in the 16th District around 1:08 AM at 6xx N Preston St. A 26-year-old male was shot in the right ankle and is now in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. A female victim, also shot in the head, is in critical condition at the same facility. Similar to the first incident, no arrests have been made.

In the 18th District, a 29-year-old male was shot multiple times at approximately 11:40 PM at 9xx S 58th St. He was transported to HUP Cedar Hospital and is listed in stable condition. As with the other shootings, no suspects have been apprehended, and the investigations are ongoing.

A severe hit-and-run crash was reported in the 8th District at the intersection of 8400 State Road and Ashburner Street at around 9:11 PM on Friday. A silver Nissan SUV collided with a black 2012 Honda, which subsequently struck a utility pole and another vehicle, a 2017 black Ford Escape. One passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene, while others involved were transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital with varying conditions.

These consecutive incidents highlight a violent night in the city, with the Shooting Investigation Group and the Crash Investigation Division handling the respective investigations. Further details are expected as the investigations progress.
