BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore County couple from Nottingham recently doubled their luck with a Keno To Go ticket, turning what would have been a $25,000 win into $50,014 thanks to the Maryland Lottery’s Keno Sprinkler promotion.
The couple, regular players of Keno To Go, typically enjoy the game from the comfort of their home, purchasing up to 100 games at a quarter each. The unexpected windfall arrived when they decided to replay their tickets on April 14 at Pappas Restaurant & Sports Bar in Parkville, where the wife had originally gone to pick up food.
Their usual strategy involves the husband picking numbers based on personal significance, which this time led to their surprising win. Using the Maryland Lottery mobile app to check their tickets, the husband soon discovered the doubled prize and shared the exciting news with his wife.
The couple plans to use their winnings to pay off bills and invest in new kitchen appliances. As proud parents and grandparents, this win sets a new personal record in their lottery endeavors.
Pappas Restaurant & Sports Bar, where the winning ticket was purchased, will also benefit from the win. The venue is set to receive a $500.14 bonus from the Lottery, equivalent to 1% of the prize amount, for selling a ticket that won $10,000 or more.
