MANASSAS, VA—An incident in the early hours of May 28 led to the arrest of 36-year-old Calvin Jerrod McIlwain for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Prince William County Police officers came upon a suspicious vehicle parked at 9801 Fairmont Ave., in the parking lot of Fairmont Park, Manassas, around 2:34 AM.

Upon investigation, officers discovered McIlwain and a 16-year-old male juvenile in a state of undress inside the vehicle. It was revealed that the two had recently met via a social media app and agreed to meet at the location. McIlwain was detained without incident, and the juvenile was safely turned over to family members. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

McIlwain, a resident of 9316 Quadrangle Street in Lorton, has been formally charged and is currently facing legal proceedings related to the case. The situation highlights concerns about the safety of minors in online environments and the importance of monitoring social media interactions.
