Two Charged for D.C. Shooting After Wild Police Chase Ends in Crash

LANDOVER, MD—Two suspects were charged with firearms offenses by the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) following a dramatic car chase and crash in Landover. The suspects, identified as 21-year-olds Rasheed Thorne and William Walker IV, both of no fixed address, were apprehended on Monday, May 20, 2024.

The incident unfolded around 12:40 pm when the Metropolitan Police Department alerted PGPD about an active pursuit of individuals suspected of involvement in a shooting. The chase concluded when the suspects’ vehicle crashed near Kent Town Place and Route 202 in Landover. A firearm was discovered in proximity to the crash site.

Thorne and Walker have both been charged with two firearms-related offenses and are currently held in the custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
