TREVOSE, PA—A violent altercation on Boston Avenue led to the stabbing of a local man, Oscar Macas, allegedly by his stepson, Angelo Torres-Nantipia. The incident occurred at 8:34 PM on Tuesday, with Bensalem Police swiftly responding to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found Torres-Nantipia, 21, armed with a knife in front of the residence. He was arrested without further incident. Macas was discovered with a critical chest wound on the home’s patio deck.
Immediate first aid was provided by the responding officers, who applied a chest seal and performed other life-saving measures until EMS personnel arrived. Macas was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and is currently undergoing intensive care in critical but stable condition.
Investigations revealed that Macas had previously secured a temporary Protection from Abuse Order against his stepson. Torres-Nantipia has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, indirect criminal contempt, and related charges.
He was arraigned by District Justice Corryn Kronnagel and is being held on $1,000,000 bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
