EAGLE PASS, TX—A man wanted for a felony child sex offense was apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Camino Real International Bridge. Port Director Pete Beattie commended the vigilant efforts of the CBP officers at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry, highlighting their role in capturing individuals involved in serious crimes.
On Friday, May 17, 57-year-old U.S. citizen Jesus Cisneros was subjected to a secondary inspection at the bridge. During this thorough review, officers used biometric verification and federal databases to confirm Cisneros’s identity and his outstanding felony warrant for lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, issued by the Sheboygan Police Department, Wisconsin.
Following the verification, Cisneros was handed over to the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office for further legal proceedings.
The National Crime Information Center (NCIC), a pivotal tool in law enforcement, supports the detection of individuals with outstanding warrants across various offenses. Through NCIC, CBP has successfully apprehended fugitives involved in crimes ranging from homicide to military desertion.
