NEW YORK, NY—The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance to identify a suspect involved in an assault. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 7, at approximately 12:50 PM in front of 1233 Lexington Avenue. A 69-year-old woman was punched in the face by an unidentified male while walking on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported by EMS to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition with bruising, swelling, and pain.

According to the NYPD statement:
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at approximately 1250 hours, in front of 1233 Lexington Avenue, a 69-year-old female was walking on the sidewalk when she was punched in the face by an unidentified individual. EMS responded and transported the victim to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition for treatment regarding bruising, swelling, and pain. The unidentified individual fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

The suspect is described as a bald male, last seen wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, black sneakers, and carrying a backpack.
He fled the scene on foot.
