Churchill, PA – Allegheny County Police have officially charged Tiffany Reese of Wilkinsburg in connection with a fatal crash that occurred last Saturday. The incident, which resulted in the death of 62-year-old Charmaine Sewell, took place around 6:29 in the morning on Beulah Road, prompting County 9-1-1 to be notified of a single-vehicle rollover collision.
Following the crash, Reese, 45, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Sewell was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other passengers sustained minor injuries. Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide and Collision Reconstruction Units commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.

Further investigations revealed that Reese was speeding in adverse weather conditions when she lost control of the vehicle on Beulah Road near Kingsdale Drive. It was found that Reese had a Blood Alcohol Content of .16% at the time of the crash and did not possess a valid driver’s license.
As a result, Reese faces charges that include homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol, and driving without a license. Reese turned herself in to Pittsburgh Municipal Court on Friday, May 20, and is currently being held in Allegheny County Jail.
