Belleville's 4th Annual Community Bike Ride a Resounding Success

BELLEVILLE, NJ—The Belleville Police Community Relations Unit celebrated its 4th Annual Community Bike Ride today, marking the event as a tremendous success with perfect weather and a strong community turnout.

The day was filled with festivities including an ice cream truck, free giveaways, snacks, refreshments, and music provided by DJ Mike Catena. Participants enjoyed an engaging obstacle course among other activities.

The event featured a 3.5-mile family bike ride through the town, escorted by Belleville officers, with over 100 riders participating.

New this year was a morning Bike Rodeo, which included a Learn to Ride Class and a Bike Skills Safety Class led by EZ-Ride instructors.

Special thanks were extended to Bill Quick from Borderline Bikes for his assistance with bike adjustments and repairs, Chief Mark Minichini, Deputy Chief Gerard Corbo, Mayor Michael Melham, and the Belleville CERT Team, Fire Department, PBA, Board of Education, volunteer student ambassadors, and all officers ensuring safety.

Assemblywoman Carmen Morales also supported and participated in the event, further highlighting its community-wide appeal. The Belleville Police are already looking forward to next year’s ride.
